CHILEHAUS

The Chilehaus in Hamburg, designed by Fritz Höger and completed in 1924, stands as a quintessential example of Expressionist architecture. Its distinctive, ship-like silhouette and sharp, angular corners pay homage to the tradition of northern German brick architecture, while also symbolizing the dynamic spirit of the 1920s. The building is renowned for its elaborate brick facade, which plays with light and shadow to create a captivating depth. As part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site "Kontorhaus District with Chilehaus," the Chilehaus is not only an architectural masterpiece but also a significant testament to the economic and cultural vitality of its era.
About
I was born in Shiraz, and after graduating from school, I moved to Tehran to study Architecture.
My passion for photography began when I was a teenager with a film camera. However, my serious photography career started when I turned eighteen, when my brother gave me my first digital camera. After studying Architecture in Hamburg, I followed my passion for documentary photography and understanding society.
Over time, I developed an interest in the interaction between people and architecture. My architectural education, combined with my passion and knowledge in photography, guided me toward architectural photography.
Capturing the story, sense, and energy of space, as well as the dynamism of stationary yet seemingly moving architectural works through photography, is one of the most exciting reasons for me to pursue architectural photography.
